About the Role

We are offering a number of exciting Maintenance Traineeship opportunities within our Rail Network in Port Hedland. The program is designed to develop cultured, engaged, highly skilled and work ready trainees, providing you with nationally recognized qualifications upon successful completion. You will be provided with industry-leading training and mentoring by some of BHP's talented workforce. You will also experience first-rate working conditions with a focus on safety, quality and teamwork.

Successful candidates will start their training on a 5/2 roster, then move to a 8/6 day shift only roster when operational. (Subject to change with operational requirements). The roles are offered as FIFO from Perth.  We will take your experience from other industries and help you apply it to mining, Why not You? Why not now?

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants wishing to apply for the Maintenance Traineeship program must meet the following criteria; -

  • Hold a current and valid WA "C" class Manual driver’s license
  • Strong commitment to your own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven attendance record (recent school or employment history)
  • A high commitment to safety systems and procedures
  • Enthusiasm to learn and motivation to succeed.
  • Demonstrate basic administrative and/or computing skills.
