About the Role
Guided by our purpose of ‘Going Beyond What is Possible to Make Lives Better’, as part of the West Musgrave Project team you would be part of a once in a generation opportunity to construct the Australia’s largest off-grid renewable powered mine, delivering a project that improves the lives of our stakeholders (workforce, community, government, shareholders, customers, and suppliers).
Reporting to the Manager – Security & Emergency Services, you will support the Project capability required to deliver the West Musgrave project through the Construction phases in support of BHP's growth strategy.
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver Customer Service based outcomes, providing strong leadership and direction to the site team at West Musgrave.
You will work alongside with a team of professional Emergency Service Officers and Paramedics and other key stakeholder groups within the West Musgrave Project. Above all, you will foster a culture of care for our people and community. Your role will be based around the Access Control in and out of site, ensuring that all visitors, contractors, or staff are greeted with a strong customer service and care approach. You will ensure all vehicles are logged coming in and out of site via a logbook and JMP board. Community members are welcomed and escorted by the appropriate BHP representative or team, and all occurrences and incidents are logged and reported through, in a safe and timely manner.
You will play a key role in developing and strengthening a culture based on the How We Work Together (HWWT) principles and the West Musgrave We Care approach. We Care is a multilayered program through showing We Care at an individual (I), team (we) and community level (us), You will also communicate across the whole projects group, with local communities and Traditional Owners, supporting a transparent and proactive engagement strategy.
Leaving hierarchy at the door, you will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have a relentless focus on collaboration.
A champion of our How We Work Together Principles, identifying threats and opportunities is second nature. You thrive on innovation and seek out new ideas from your team and partners to create value. You will be confident to bring new thinking to old problems and challenge the status quo for a future mine site.
