About the Role

The Administration Assistant - HST will be responsible for effective administration and systems support to the Health, Safety and Training Department whilst ensuring personal compliance with Premier Coal’s Mine Safety Management System.

• Maintain compliance with Premier Coal’s Mine Safety Management System and associated legislative requirements
• Conduct regular Safety Observations and encourage Supervisors, Superintendents and Managers to do the same
• Provide administrative support to the Health, Safety and Training team in a confidential, accurate and timely manner
• Assist individual workers, Supervisors, Superintendents and Managers to continuously improve the focus on the MSMS and thereby assist with improving the overall performance of work teams

Skills and Experience

• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Sound understanding of risk awareness, hazard identification and a strong commitment to safety performance
• Previous experience in the provision of administrative support 
• Experienced at prioritising tasks, following through to completion and showing flexibility when needed to accommodate employees/visitors entering site
• Demonstrated advanced computer literacy combined with the ability to quickly pick up new software programs
