We’re currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administration Officer to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your administrative expertise in a supportive environment that values safety, growth, and innovation.
You’ll play a key role in supporting our Southern Operations workforce and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the Business Support function.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Business Support and working in a diverse team, your key responsibilities will be:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to various teams with high attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Utilising business software applications to create correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Efficiently coordinating business travel arrangements.
- Maintaining files and records.
- Managing order processing and inventory.
- Assisting in event planning.
- Offering excellent customer service support.
- Excelling in a dynamic work environment with multiple priorities whilst maintaining confidentiality.
- Strictly adhering to security and compliance procedures.
- Must have the ability travel to Amrun for duration of roster.
What you’ll bring

- Effective communicator and collaborator who can effectively manage competing priorities
- Good understanding of Microsoft Teams, Word, Power Point, Excel and SharePoint
- Prior experience in SAP (Purchase Req’s, Reservations, SES Receipting)

Where you’ll be working
Our Weipa operations in Far North Queensland includes three bauxite mines, processing facilities, shiploaders, an export wharf, two ports, power stations, a rail network and ferry terminals.Amrun, our newest mine, was completed in 2018 and will extend our Weipa bauxite operations by decades, significantly building on our 55-year history on the Western Cape, and providing jobs and supporting business growth in the region. The mine is located on traditional land. We work closely with the Traditional Owners to implement our agreements, ensuring that the benefits generated from mining support future generations and that important cultural heritage sites are identified and preserved.
