About the Role
You will be Working on a Fly In/Fly Out basis from Perth to Newman on a 5/2 4/3 roster. You will be a part of the Rail Operations team reporting to the Superintendent of Newman Rail Operations and supporting the wider leadership team. In this role you will be joining an inclusive and diverse team where you play a critical role in departmental success, providing administrative support.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Continuously improving Rail Operations safety and efficiency through operating discipline and technical interfaces
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development of Rail Operations fleet coordination
- Actively participating in Field Leadership Activities and Hazard Reporting Team Player: The flexibility to absorb additional roles within the Team as required.
- Tracking, monitoring and stocktake of PPE, including vending machines, stores, and stations.
- Identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of business processes
- Accommodation bookings
- 1SAP – Purchase Requisitions – Reservations – Work orders – Notifications
- Engagement with stakeholders
- Work close with Shift Supervisors and assist them with roster, flight, accommodation and roster management.
- Mobilisation - Organise New Starters’ PPE, flights, accommodation, and welcome packs.
- Using SAP for reporting hazards, investigations, notifications etc.
- Weekly reports and updating metrics on report boards.
- Generating Presentation Packs for various meetings.
- Organise/assist with events and ordering function/meals.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by department.
About You
Desired skillset for this role includes:
- Previous experience working in an administrative capacity in a similar role
- Problem solving skills and flexibility with competing priorities.
- Action Orientated
- Ability to provide Feedback & Recognition
- Open to new ideas & improvements
- SAP experience (essential but not required)
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience coordinating / managing travel on varied rosters.
- Safe working practices
