The Gwalia Gold Mine is located three kilometres south of the town of Leonora, Western Australia, and has been a flagship asset for our client St Barbara for the past 15 years. Macmahon is proud to be able to deliver a whole of mine service including mine development, ground support, production drilling and blasting, loading and trucking, shotcreting and paste fill reticulation from May 2021. The Gwalia mine is the cornerstone of Leonora operations and has strong margins supported by good grades and a focus on costs and returns. The site has a track record of continuous improvement, with a recently upgraded mine ventilation system, and a previous significant upgrade of the accommodation village that incorporated a number of energy efficient and environmentally friendly initiatives.

The Underground team are seeking a Site Administrator for Gwalia FIFO which will be out of Perth on a 2/2 roster (Day shift only).

Reporting to the Site Manager, the primary focus of the role is support the site Teams, by overseeing all site administrative tasks.
 

Other duties include, but are not limited to:

Manage the functions of administration as per the site requirements including timely delivery of all required reports on a daily/monthly basis;
Accurate Data Entry in line with task specific deadlines/timeframes;
Assist Project Manager with claim requirements;
Mobilisation of new starters, visitors and contractors; and
Book/amend travel, accommodation and hire car needs in accordance with current standing project or organisational arrangements

About you: 

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within mining or resources environment; 
Must reside in WA;
High level of organisational and time management skills; 
Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team;  
High level of competency in the use of Microsoft Office applications; 
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values; and 
Current C Class Drivers Licence

As a part of the recruitment process for this role you are required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete a criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally you will must provide proof of working rights in Australia i.e. copy of valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current visa grant notification.
