About the Role

BHP has an opportunity for an Engineering Administrator to support our Engineering Team based in Perth.

Reporting to the Manager Engineering this role will support implementing the Contractor Management System, as well as supporting the team with office administration including document control and management of change.

You will focus on ensuring compliance to the systems and processes while working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcome for the business.

In this role, you will work closely with the function (office and site) and be responsible for: 

  • Providing high level diary management for the Manager, ensuring optimal time utilisation and ILOs
  • Coordination of travel itineraries including accommodation and transport bookings
  • Working closely with the Manager and Superintendents to produce deliverables; including key reports, L3 MOP and other deliverables as required
  • Forward plan work and ensure effectiveness of leadership team
  • Supporting projects and other ad hoc duties as required
  • Managing confidential and sensitive matters with diplomacy
  • Sourcing and preparing data for reporting and department performance updates
  • General administrative duties as required

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong technical proficiency with the ability to effectively manage multiple work processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite is essential including Microsoft 365 & SAP desirable
  • Previous experience in administration or as a Personal Assistant
  • Experience coordinating / managing travel on varied rosters for large groups advantageous
  • Effective communication and relationship management skills to a variety of business levels
  • Strong organisational skills and time management skills with high attention to detail
  • Achieve results through working with multiple stakeholders and managing multiple work processes in a busy and complex environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in business administration is an advantage
