About the role 

The Advisor Drilling is responsible for supporting Resource Development Operations to achieve Safe Production.

Working with the operations teams and contract partner they will be responsible for identifying drilling performance issues and supporting the contract partner to resolve them.

They will also be responsible for identifying and setting actions to rectify non-conformances found during drill rig inspections.

The role will cover all RTIO Resource Development areas in the Pilbara.

Reporting to the Principal with no direct reports and working 8 days on; 6 days off roster (dayshift only), the ideal candidate will:

  • Drive a strong safety culture with contract partners by ensuring compliance to safety standards and procedures.

  • Lead the drive to eliminate live work in our operations.

  • Champion leadership in the field (LIF) and Critical Risk Management (CRM)

  • Uses their expertise to coach team members on drilling safety and method.

  • Manage their own schedule and work autonomously.

  • Analyse drilling performance issues through data analysis and provide solutions.

  • Conduct drill rig and ancillary equipment audits, ensures compliance and quality of drill operations.

  • Have contractor management experience.

  • Solid stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to effectively influence, collaborate with and negotiate with contract partners, technical and operational team leaders.

  • Manual C Class driver’s license

What you’ll bring    

  • A commitment to the health and safety of yourself, your team and the environment

  • 5- 10 RC/diamond and/or Waterwell drilling in the Pilbara

  • The ability to engage effectively and collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external partners.

  • Good computer skills, able to use Microsoft Teams and standard apps.

  • A manual C class drivers’ licence.
