About the role

We are looking for an Advisor Government Approvals to assist with obtaining approvals under key State legislation.

This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who possesses the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, maintain flexibility to adapt to changing business conditions and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Superintendent Government Approvals, you will:

  • Obtain Government Approvals under Part V Division 2 & 3 of the Environmental Protection Act 1986, Mining Act 1978 and Rights in Water Irrigation Act 1914.
  • Build effective relationships with approvals, project stakeholders and SME’s
  • Provide advice on Government Approvals issues and requirements

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Formal qualification in an environmental discipline or a related field
  • Understanding the relevant legislation
  • The skills to communicate and consult effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent technical writing skills, attention to detail and an ability to interpret and problem solve complex issues
  • The ability to work in a team environment

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Experience in project management
  • Experience or understanding of ArcGIS software and Microsoft applications
  • Understanding and interpreting environmental legislation
  • Experience working in a team orientated environment

This role is Perth based.
