About The Role

Our Underground Operations at Narrabri have exciting opportunity available for an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor, or Senior Occupational Health and Safety Advisor, based on experience.In alignment with Narrabri Mine Management Plans this role is highly visible and actively engaged with our workforce, leading by example in supporting a safe and healthy workplace. We are seeking two Advisors to work on a rotating 7/7 roster – (Wednesday to Wednesday).
 

What You’ll Do
 

Duties include but are not limited to;

• Supporting safe work practices through collaboration and engagement
• Assist with developing, maintaining and monitoring safety systems and safety culture
• Participate in auditing programs and conduct regular audits to assess compliance with site standards
• Conduct regular inspections, task observations and risk assessments and provide guidance to improve safe work practices
• Support injured workers safe return to work

What You’ll Bring

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications, experience and qualities:

• Relevant work experience in a similar environment
• Relevant Occupational Health and Safety qualifications
• Current first aid certificate and ability to act as the Occupational First Aid Officer on site
