As a Health & Safety Advisor, your mission is clear: to lead and cultivate a strong health and safety culture founded on our "We Care" approach. Your primary function is to provide specialised expertise in health and safety, guiding our projects to not only meet but exceed industry standards. This is your opportunity to make a real difference by instilling a culture of physical and psychological safety throughout our project.

  • In the field, you'll coach and mentor team members, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to minimise hazards and create a safe environment.
  • You will play a crucial role in developing and delivering H&S initiatives to proactively enhance our safety practices.
  • You will ensure that we consistently meet the industry standards and statutory WHS obligations. Your expertise will drive our efforts to create a workplace where safety is a top priority.
  • You will provide invaluable advice and guidance on WHS matters and issues as they arise. Your insights will empower our teams to navigate challenges and opportunities safely and responsibly.
  • You will ensure that a standardised risk management approach is implemented across the project in alignment with our safety management system.
  •  Be prepared to respond to incidents and emergencies, ensuring a swift and effective resolution as necessary.

About You

  • You are a certified Work Health & Safety professional, well-versed in the field, and have experience working directly with contracting partners. Your expertise in WHS is a key asset to our team.
  • You come with a track record of success as a Workplace Health & Safety Advisor, preferably in dynamic sectors such as construction, mining, or large projects. Your hands-on experience in E&I, SMP, cranes or lifting will be invaluable in guiding our safety efforts.
  • You possess a deep understanding of the WA Work Health and Safety Act 2020, Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022, and associated advisory material, ensuring our practices align with the latest legal requirements.
  • You have the ability to not only analyse but also provide structured feedback in the development of Safety Work Method Statements (SWMS), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Take5 processes, guaranteeing our commitment to best safety practices.
  • You are proficient in handling the desktop requirements of the role, including Microsoft applications, MyOSH, ChemWatch, and other platforms, making you a valuable contributor to our technological safety solutions.
  • Your ability to work effectively within a team is essential. You thrive in a collaborative environment, co-designing and delivering shared value to our internal and external partners.
  • You will be the glue in our relationship with contracting partners, working closely with them to ensure a mutual commitment to safety, health, and wellbeing.
  • You love the idea of working outdoors and having a direct, in-person impact on our team members. You can't wait to be on-site, engaging with our teams and ensuring that safety measures are not just in place but actively practised.
