Located 28 kilometres north of Leonora, the King of the Hill Gold Mine is seeking a seasoned HSEQ Advisor to join our team. This exciting role operates on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Perth. Reporting directly to the HSEQ Superintendent, this position is perfect for experienced professionals with a background in underground mining.

About the role

  • Ensure effective implementation and adherence to the HSEQ Management Plan.
  • Provide expert mentoring and guidance on HSEQ Management Systems.
  • Engage with clients on WHS activities and monitor site-based lead and lag indicators.
  • Assist with accident and incident investigations as needed.
  • Conduct risk assessments to support operational safety.
  • Oversee site corrective action and hazard reporting processes.
  • Perform site inspections and audits according to the annual safety planner and activity planners.

About you
 

  • Previous underground mining experience in a similar role, accompanied by qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety. 
  • Working knowledge of the Mines Safety Inspection Act (WA) and similar legislation in other states.
  • Experience in HSEQ management systems and able to implement HSEQ management plan deliverables.
  • Qualification in incident investigation methodology, such as ICAM.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and engagement skills.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Current Manual "C" Class WA Drivers Licence or equivalent.
