Join the Macmahon Surface Team as an experienced Health and Safety Advisor at the Nifty Copper Project to provide high level support to project. Proactive and experienced individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, can manage competing priorities, and is passionate about driving continuous improvement and supporting operational teams.
About the Role
- FIFO roster
- Full Time Permanent Position
- Ensure effective implementation and adherence to the HSEQ Management Plan.
- Provide expert mentoring and guidance on HSEQ Management Systems.
- Engage with clients on WHS activities and monitor site-based lead and lag indicators.
- Assist with accident and incident investigations as needed.
- Conduct risk assessments to support operational safety.
- Oversee site corrective action and hazard reporting processes.
- Perform site inspections and audits according to the annual safety planner and activity planners.
About You
- Previous mining experience in a similar role, accompanied by qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Working knowledge of the Mines Safety Inspection Act (WA) and similar legislation in other states.
- Experience in HSEQ management systems and able to implement HSEQ management plan deliverables.
- Qualification in incident investigation methodology, such as ICAM.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and engagement skills.
- Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Current Manual "C" Class WA Drivers Licence or equivalent.
