About the role

We are looking for an Advisor Information Systems to provide efficient and effective support for operations of the IS&T computing environment. This includes maintaining site based applications and software, acting as advisor/administrator of Document Management systems and process and operations support of hardware devices and other relevant Office business applications and related infrastructure.

Reporting to the Superintendent IS&T RTA Yarwun and working in an exciting and collaborative environment within our IS&T function, you will be responsible for prioritizing and scheduling business requests and support demands in a dynamic fashion. Some of the key support accountabilities include:

• Information Systems support – ensuring that application/software environments are fully maintained with appropriately supported updates, patches and/or service packs.
• Advisor to site Document Controllers of document management processes as well as the administration of the site Electronic Document Management (Sharepoint Online) and Drawing Management systems (Bentley Projectwise/Microstation).
• Support of desktop/laptop computers, printers and peripherals, telephone and mobile handsets, video conferencing equipment, kiosks and other relevant Office business applications and related infrastructure.
• Incident, problem and change management.

What you’ll bring

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• Relevant diploma and/or IT qualifications attained from a recognised training provider or equivalent industry experience
• Experience with application support in IS&T environment, with proven ability to install and upgrade existing applications
• Experience with MS SQL Server
• Good understanding of Sharepoint
• Good working knowledge of Document Management systems, processes and procedures
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with a diverse range of customers, peers and management

It will also be beneficial if you have:

• Working knowledge of ITIL service delivery and support processes
• IT background with mining industry experience

As part of the requirements of this role, you will participate in an on-call roster to cover after hours if required.
