About the role
We are looking for an Advisor Master Data to provide a central point for business support across multiple divisions, in all areas related to the maintenance and management of article & site records mastered in SAP.We are an open, connected global team that includes some of the industry’s best and brightest minds. Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Management Rail and working in a collaborative community; you will be:
- Providing leadership to identify requirements for SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) master data using best practice application of Rio Tinto asset management standards and systems
- Providing coaching to operations, maintenance & engineering teams for master data quality assurance activities
- Managing the deployment of asset tactics and providing governance to project teams
- Supporting long-term planners and reliability engineers in planning and defect elimination processes
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and standardisation of master data associated to multiple asset classes
- Responsible for audits of master data and alignment to global data standards
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification, or relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated experience in a maintenance planning or master data role using SAP
- Experience with ticketing management software to resolve customer requests
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Experience building relationships with key customers to improve data quality
- Relevant Project Management qualifications or experience
- Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to offer guidance on SAP functionality and impact on maintenance metrics
- Rail industry or linear asset management experience
Where you will be working
This role is being offered in our Perth based offices – CBD Central Park. Our privately owned and operated rail network is an essential part of our integrated production process and services our 15 mines across the Pilbara via 1,700km of track. With depots located at Tom Price, Cape Lambert and Dampier (7 Mile), each train is operated by a single driver and comprises up to three locomotives and 240 ore cars stretching to approximately 2.7 kilometres in length with over 40 trains operating per day. We are also applying and adapting technology to improve safety and productivity across our rail network.
