Rio Tinto’s Offsite Repairs and Disposals team are looking to recruit an Offsite Repairs Advisor to offer specialist technical capability across Fixed Plant asset repair maintenance.
Reporting to the Principal Fixed Plant Assets, key responsibilities for the position include:
- Providing support, services and technical excellence in offsite repairs
- Contributing to the improvement in reliability and performance of fixed plant assets by identifying and resolving issues affecting integrity
- Repair and overhaul of large, fixed plant processing equipment including but not limited to Crushers, Chutes, Rock breakers, Vibrating screens and Feeders
- Vendor management to ensure compliance with contractual KPI’s
- Providing advisory capability about offsite repair activities and provide an education service about processes and procedures
- Contributing to continuous improvement to increase reliability of equipment structural condition, performance and reliability
- Exploring, trialling and implementing new technologies to improve asset lifecycle.
This permanent position will be based in Rio Tinto’s Central Park city office in the Perth CBD working Monday to Friday with flexible working arrangements.
What you’ll bring
To be considered, applicants will ideally have:
- A tertiary Engineering degree and/or Trade qualification in Mechanical/Fabrication
- Vibration Analyses Category 1 Qualification
- Project Management Qualification
- CSWIP 3.0 Weld inspector or AS2214 Weld Supervisor (or similar) accreditation
- Demonstrated OEM Training experience
- Ability to oversee and sign off quality hold points and FAT’s
- Significant experience in asset maintenance and overhaul of large, fixed plant processing equipment
- Ability to interpret NDT and condition reports
- Ability to interpret repair quotes and control costs
- Proficient skills in SAP and/or similar systems.
