Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for an Organisational Development Advisor to join our team at Perth Head Office. Reporting to the Business Partner – Organisational Development, this role ensures that the organisation develops and retains internal capability and competency to be effective, relevant and agile.  Supporting the implementation, coordination and administration of projects such as succession planning, capability development, leadership development, employee engagement and performance management, the Advisor - OD will play a pivotal role in driving workplace culture initiatives. The role will initially be offered as a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. 


The role 

  • Support the delivery of the OD annual plan 
  • Provide ongoing OD coaching and advice to employees and managers
  • Monitor initiative engagement and participation
  • Service focused partnership with the HR Operations team of Advisors and Superintendents
  • Ensure OD initiatives are effectively communicated and that the People team is equipped for successful delivery to the business
  • Manage and administer business systems, namely Success Factors, to underpin talent and OD processes including annual cycles of talent reviews (succession planning, performance reviews etc).
  • Manage in accordance with policies, procedures and work instructions for OD functions, ensuring all OD records are maintained
  • Support the establishment of a succinct Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and coordinate the critical delivery of the DEI framework
  • Coordinate the annual Workplace Gender Equality Agency submission 
  • Facilitate the preparation and administration of employee engagement surveys
  • Support the ongoing monitoring of the business climate
  • Support the development and delivery of supervisory, management and leadership programs that align to the Macmahon way, annual business plans and strategy
  • Establish and maintain indigenous pathway partnerships to develop sustainable and relevant talent pipelines  
  • Support change management and development intervention strategies as endorsed by the GM People  

The ideal candidate

  • University degree in Human Resource Management or similar
  • Knowledge of the prevailing Industrial Relations legislation
  • Knowledge of best practices in Human Resource Management
  • Experience working in a complex, operational environment
  • Experience managing multiple completing priorities, stakeholders and objectives 
  • Experience applying a high degree of discretion and autonomy 
  • Strong communication skills and dedication to confidentiality
  • Sound customer service ethic
