We are looking for a Production Advisor – Clarification to safely lead and coordinate scheduled activities. This is a great opportunity for a safety focused individual who is engaged, adaptable and driven.

Reporting to the Superintendent Production - Clarification and working in a challenging and exciting environment within the Production Clarification team, you will be:

  • Identifying required work, document and communicate goals and scope of the work, and needs of execution teams to deliver identified work.
  • Planning, monitoring and documenting tasks for work execution, including monitoring to ensure work is delivered to correct standard, on time and delivers the expected outcomes.
  • Fostering effective communication with stakeholders concerning work planning and status.
  • Foreseeing, and strategically eliminating, blockers and potential risks to work execution.
  • Preparation of documentation for work execution, including Critical Task Plans, and communication with execution teams.
  • Effectively collaborating with service providers, other areas and support teams to ensure resources are coordinated, and planning aligns with plant conditions and priorities.
  • Participating in several operational, safety and performance meetings.
  • Identifying and championing process improvements.

  • ‌‌Operational experience in Clarification area.
  • Exposure to, or experience in, project management.

Where you’ll be workingLocated in Central Queensland, approximately 10km north-west of Gladstone, Yarwun alumina refinery commenced operations in 2004. Processing bauxite from our mines in Weipa and Gove, Yarwun produces more than three million tonnes of smelter grade alumina annually.

As one of the largest industries in the Gladstone region, Yarwun employs over 700 people and has a large contractor workforce.

With a focus on safely improving our process every day, the team at Yarwun challenge themselves to use existing and emerging technology to support our 24 hour operation.
