We are looking for an Advisor Project Delivery to join the divisional capital team, to provide cost and schedule management of a diverse portfolio of brownfield projects across the Greater Brockman region.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute at a tactical level to the project management, controls and reporting processes while supporting the senior and mid-level staff in the operations and project teams. Reporting to the Superintendent, you will operate on a FIFO 5 days on; 2 days off / 4 days on; 3 days off roster and be responsible for but not limited to; -
- Knowledge of project management (scoping, planning, scheduling, resource planning, and cost estimation)
- Ensuring the Capital Portfolio Management System is updated regularly with project forecasts
- Providing assistance to personnel with project cost reports, cost schedules and analysis
- Monitor project progress against budget and forecasted schedule
- Maintain effective and on-going communications between key departments within the business
What you’ll bring

Our ideal candidate will hold a relevant Engineering Degree, and be passionate about pursuing a new career in Project Engineering with a global mining company. In addition you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in the expectations of what is required for Project Delivery, in a mining/resource sector environment
- Experience using SAP, Microsoft Project, Primavera 6 and Power BI will be highly regarded
- Interpret and implement systems, processes and procedures
- Able to work effectively in an agile environment
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to challenge assumptions and deliver initiatives to improve projects and processes

Where you’ll be working Located 60km north-west of Tom Price, Brockman is wholly owned and operated by Rio Tinto. Opened in 2010, this open pit operation offers a family friendly fly in fly out roster with state-of-the-art camp facilities.
The Greater Brockman Operations consist of Brockman 2, Brockman 4, Nammuldi and Silvergrass. Driving the latest technological advancements, the open-pit mines offer an avenue for opportunity and career progression.
