About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advisor Operational Readiness to join the Port & Rail Logistics Rail Operational Readiness team. This role will be key in supporting the business through the challenging development, implementation, commissioning and handover of a range of major rail projects.
This is your opportunity to be part of the next exiting developments for the rail division and the wider business.
The position is Perth based, working 5 days on 2 days off, with a requirement to travel to various sites on an irregular basis.
What the role entails:
To support the Superintendent Rail Operational Readiness in the development and execution of operational readiness tasks through the life of each project
Developing, implementing and communicating the operational readiness execution plan for a variety of projects
Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders who influence and impact the operational readiness plan and business groups
Develop and provide reporting through each project phase including PMO updates to the appropriate stakeholder groups
Development of key documents such as interface/boundary agreements, SWP’s performance metrics with key stakeholders
Role modelling safety leadership by striving for zero harm and demonstrating the Rio Tinto safety culture, especially through improved safety in design
Be accountable for the day-to-day organisational tasks associated with ensuring stakeholder engagement and communications are managed in a coordinated and structured manner;
Be accountable for the management of key stakeholder input and representation at design, site acceptance, HAZOP/HAZID workshops, commissioning events and punch listing
Management, development and coordination of documents for formal signoff and acceptance, including the governance of delivery of as-built drawings and documents into the Rio Tinto drawing management system
Ongoing development and distribution of internal rail division documentation including operational, maintenance, Safeworking notices and procedures
Administrative tasks associated with the cost management of OR activates
Travel to a variety of sites as required
About you
Proven ability to continuously identify and drive improvements in safety, people, cash, partnership and growth
Proven ability to communicate and engage with a variety of key stakeholders at various levels of management
Document development, control and management skills (previous exposure to our systems will be beneficial)
Understanding of training requirements and the development of training needs analysis
Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated report development and management skills
Exposure to both Rail and RTIO business systems will be beneficial
