Join the Gwalia underground team as an experienced Advisor – HSEQ and provide a high degree of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) support to the operational departments of the site.
 

About the role

  • FIFO from Perth
  • 8:6 night/day roster
  • Salary paid monthly will depend on experience
     

About you

  • Demonstrate WHS leadership and improve the WHS culture through developing line capability in delivering their WHS accountabilities
  • Continually review, propose and where approved contribute to the development of improved WHS systems and procedures to optimise WHS services provided
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to supervisors, employees, and contractors in all areas of WHS, behavioural and culture change, and leadership development
  • Engage with operational personnel to provide support, coaching and guidance on effective implement of Macmahon's WHS System
  • Provide facilitation, assistance, and guidance in incident investigations, WHS meetings, WHS inspections of equipment and task observations on the site
  • Lead, facilitate and participate in risk management processes, including maintenance and review of site Risk Register
  • Qualifications in WHS (Minimum Diploma)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an WHS practitioner in the mining industry
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role within an Underground mining environment
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment 
  • Working knowledge of the WHS Act 2020 and WHS Regulations 2022
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, orgnaisation, communication, computer and engagement skills
  • Experience in WHS management systems such as INCONTROL
  • Qualification in incident investigation such as ICAM
  • Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence or equivalent
