We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Training Advisor to join the Macmahon Team supporting our projects based in the Bowen Basin. This role will support the Maintenance teams on contracts that encompass the provision of mobile plant & maintenance services, including the maintenance of client owned equipment.

Some of your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate and execute training and assessment in accordance with Macmahon training standards and sites specific training plan
  • Ensuring that all training and assessment is current and meets Client, Macmahon and legislative requirements.
  • Develop, monitor and maintain proficiency for operation of equipment to a high standard.
  • Maintain training records to ensure accuracy, currency and confidentiality.
  • Undertake field observations for performance of personnel operating procedures
  • Remain current and proficient on the operations they train/assess or work in consultation with a mentor/subject matter expert.
  • Actively participate in professional development activities on an ongoing basis.
  • Adhere and promote a zero-harm work environment

To be successful in this position, you would ideally have:

  • Current Cert IV TAE 40116
  • Minimum 3-4 years in a Mining/Trainer/Assessor role within a Coal Mining environment (desirable)
  • Competent in operating various equipment with haul truck, loader and ancillary equipment
  • RII Qualifications for heavy mining equipment
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with people at all levels
  • Certificate IV WHS (desirable)
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Standard 11 induction
  • Coal Board Medical
  • Drug & Alcohol Screen
  • Drivers Licence (manual)
