Aerodrome Ground Handler

Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 4 days on, 3 days off

This diverse role of  an Aerodrome Ground Handler will have the successful candidate reporting directly to the Aerodrome Supervisor. The role requires a reliable candidate to fill a permanent position as a member of the ground handling team.

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Carry out daily aircraft ground handling operations in line with airline standards and practices.
  • Display high levels of customer service when dealing with travelling passengers for all daily scheduled aircraft movements.
  • Conduct aerodrome maintenance tasks including, cleaning, weeding, repairs, painting general maintenance (within skill set).
  • Any other task deemed suitable to skill set and role as assigned by Aerodrome Supervisor.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Possess relevant qualifications and current experience in aircraft ground handling of F100, B712; A320 and B738 aircrafts.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve a high level of customer service;
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, be self-directed and work under minimal supervision;
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our residents, contractor groups and management team;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills. Having the demonstrated ability to liaise and interact with individuals and groups of varying levels of authority;
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with all MS Office, SAP, On line inductions and Workflow suite of programs;
