About the Role

We are looking for an Aerodrome Reporting Officer who also has current experience in ground handling for our Aerodromes located in the Goldfields.

This role reports directly to the Superintendent Aviation and Buses, Nickel West and you will work closely with the Team Leader (Aviation Services), maintenance & flights teams to provide a safe and serviceable aerodrome for our operators and workforce.  Diverse and dynamic role with a FIFO 7:7 roster and travel between sites may be required. The role is not limited to ARO/WSO functions and will include all aspects of ground handling, including aircraft refuelling and some maintenance duties.

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • The ability to maintain a high standard of safety and compliance, in line with BHP and CASA’s regulatory procedures.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and strong computer literacy, including previous experience in airline check in systems.
  • Motivation to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment during peak operational periods
  • The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within the work group
  • Previous FIFO ARO/WSO and airport operations/ground handling experience
  • Aerodrome maintenance experience (desirable) 
  • ARO/WSO current qualification 
  • AROC (Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate) 
  • Current ground handling experience preferred
  • Minimum of a C Class Manual Driver’s Licence
