Aerodrome Supervisor  

Work location: Across all sites 

Roster: 8 days on and 6 days off

Role overview:

The Aerodrome Ground Handler will report directly to the Aerodrome Supervisor and carry out daily aircraft ground handling operations in line with airline standards and practices. 

This including but not limited to ramp and check-in functions.

The role requires a reliable candidate to fill a permanent position as a member of the ground handling team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that the aerodrome is operated and maintained according to the aerodrome manual, MOS 139 and CASA regulations
  • Assume the duties of Aerodrome Supervisor and Document Controller for all Aerodrome Manuals
  • Coordinate aerodrome safety meetings as the delegated Safety Management Systems Safety Officer and ensure that safety risks of aerodrome activities are identified and actioned under the Corporate Health, Safety and Risk policies, procedures and standards and the Aerodromes SMS
  • Coordinate Aerodrome Emergency Committee meetings as delegated chair and conduct emergency exercises as outlined in the Aerodrome manual
  • Prepare Method of Working Plans for major aerodrome works and assume the role of Works Safety Officer as required
  • Coordinate required maintenance works and supervise maintenance crews as required

Education and experience:

  • Aerodrome Reporting Officer, Works Safety Officer qualification, with experience in managing aerodromes
  • Valid Aircraft Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of the MOS 139 CASA regulations and standards
  • Experience in Emergency Response procedures and requirements, as well as demonstrated safety leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in ground handling and airline operating procedures and processes
  • Experience in providing leadership and direction to all Aerodrome ground handlers and contractors and Current C Class WA Driver's License or equivalent
