The Fortescue HIVE
The Fortescue Hive is our integrated operations centre based in Perth, remotely operating our world class leading assets and infrastructure across three mining hubs, commanding our fleet of autonomous trucks and drills, railway and Port operations. All operational mine and Ore Processing Facility (OPF) control teams now operate from the Hive together with autonomous haulage and drill control from Solomon, Christmas Creek and Cloudbreak and Eliwana With operational control functions based in Perth, Operational Planning, Shipping, and Sales and Marketing teams join the Hive to increase the effectiveness of our integrated supply chain strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assistance with the execution of the 24 hour mine & maintenance plans
- Maximise equipment productivity and efficiency by the accurate and timely reporting of maintenance issues
- Monitor and action information provided by tyre management systems, weather applications and monitor the maintenance status applications
- Update procedures in case of critical failures in the system and associated applications
- Ensure the integrity of the mine model (road network, locations, equipment etc.) report any mine model issues to the Minestar builder
- Minimise shift delays and normal maintenance delays (fuelling, tire re-torques, etc.)
Qualification and Experience:
- Current or previous as an operator in an open cut mining environment
- Intermediate computer literacy skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple competing priorities
- Fleet Management System knowledge essential
