Work Location: Perth Office - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people. Ad hoc site travel as required.

The AI Domain Squad Lead is accountable for the end-to-end delivery governance and value realisation of AI initiatives across Corporate Services. This role combines agile leadership, program oversight and business impact accountability to drive predictable delivery, measurable ROI and scalable AI adoption. Acting as a servant leader and agile coach, the role enables high-performing squads, strengthens product ownership capability and ensures AI products deliver sustained business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional, globally distributed squads delivering AI products and business outcomes
• Own delivery performance across scope, schedule, cost, risks and outcomes
• Drive operating model transformation as AI-led automation scales
• Resolve delivery, technical and stakeholder challenges
• Manage dependencies, sequencing and capacity using lean portfolio practices
• Ensure alignment between business value, funding and delivery execution
• Coach Product Owners to define clear, outcome-driven requirements
• Embed agile best practice, including iterative delivery and value slicing
• Track delivery and value metrics including flow, cost, ROI and CSAT/NPS
•  Provide clear, data-driven updates to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology or Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years leading agile delivery across software, data or AI programs at scale
• Experience leading global, cross-functional teams
• Experience delivering digital transformation across Corporate Services domains such as Technology, Procurement, HR, Travel, External Affairs, Finance and Legal
• Proven track record delivering measurable business outcomes, including ROI, CSAT and cycle time improvements
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, cloud platforms and MLOps practices
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as Azure AI, OpenAI or Bedrock
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders
• Agile certification, such as Scrum or Scaled Agile, highly regarded.
