All Round Operator

Job Responsibilities

Health, Safety and Risk

• Inspect work area and equipment for hazards, damage and defects prior to commencing work
• Complete pre-start checks
• Attend and participate in PSI and safety meetings
• Complete Mac 5’s and be involved in the development of JSEA’s when required
• Ensure plant that has faulty critical components is not operated until faults are rectified

Technical/Operational

• General duties as required under supervision (e.g. piping for water, delineator)
• Able to operate a range of the following pieces of equipment (e.g. Dozer, Grader, Dump Truck, Water Truck, Wheel Loader, Rock Breaker, Float, Batter Excavator)
• Floor level checks with lasers/GPS systems etc.
• Assist with coordination at dump areas with heavy equipment
• Clean equipment once per shift
• Ensure all relevant documents are submitted on time for processing
• Maintain equipment in a neat and tidy condition at all times
• Work together with excavator operators
• Able and willing to conduct other tasks when required (e.g. operating other Mobile Plant equipment)

Commercial/Financial

• Ensure work is done correctly the first time to the acceptable standard so there is no rework
• Operate in a manner that protects the ore body to maximise recovery, minimise dilution and ore loss

Team Contribution

• Work together with excavator operators
• Support employees and contractors to comply with all relevant policies and procedures
• Participate and support improvement opportunities leading to safer workplaces, increased productivity and increased efficiencies
• Participate in problem solving investigations with teams as required
