About the role
Rio Tinto’s Rail Operations department have a unique opportunity available for a Production Analyst to join the Improvements team. Seeking a motivated, action-oriented individual to join the 7 Mile Rail Operation to drive high-impact Safety and Productivity initiatives.
Reporting to the Specialist Production, this role will be offered as a residential role on 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off roster and you will be responsible for the below :
- Identify and execute improvement projects using business improvement methodologies and tools
- Facilitate problem solving, root cause analysis, and process mapping activities
- Demonstrate excellence in teamwork, partnership, communication, and stakeholder management to achieve the role outcomes
- Guiding and supporting supervisors and team members to understand, prioritize, and correct pain points
- Collaborating with and providing process support to other departments and divisions, focusing on sharing knowledge
- Assisting in gathering data, and developing/maintaining dashboards and reports
- Managing business compliance, workforce plans, cash forecasting and capital planning
