About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and talented Analyst Cost Controller to join our team at Goonyella Riverside. This role offers a 5:2 roster with some flexibility to the right candidate.
Reporting to the Superintendent Reliability the primary focus of this position is to provide specialist advice and executes tasks related to the development of financial data and analysis to facilitate well-informed decisions in Maintenance.
In addition to this your responsibilities will include:
- Prepares the load of 5YP and Two-Year Budget financial and non-financial data in 1SAP/Prime at the Site level
- Provides support to line management in the preparation of Operating and Capital Budget in line with submission timetable (reflecting requirement set by the Asset/Business)
- Assist Maintenance in the co-ordination of the Budget, Five Year Plan (5YP) and forecast in line with submission requirements set by the Group Reporting at the Business level.
- Maintains quality reporting, achieving all set targets.
- Generates financial data and analysis to Maintenance Teams
- Completes financial analysis performed in the assessment of improvement projects, cost savings initiatives and cost drivers and shares insights with Maintenance Budget Owners
- Prepares and posts accruals and journal to facilitate primary and secondary cost sign off
- Prepares financial data and analysis (Operating and Capital) provided to Maintenance Budget Owners through daily/weekly routines
- Complies with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and GLD.004.001 Accounting Interpretations
About You
We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership and communication skills. Your interpersonal skills will foster collaborative working relationships and your ability to consolidate and analyse information will provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a similar position demonstrating business acumen
- Experience in maintenance or similar industry would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build, maintain and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to multitask and work in high demand role
- Proficient computer literacy with the ability to use multi systems. (1SAP and Prime highly regarded)
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel
