Director, Investments – North America
Work location: Hybrid, Head Office Tysons Corner, Virginia
Roster: Monday to Friday
Key responsibilities:
- Owning economic analysis for various potential transactions ranging from greenfield project development to acquisitions and financing. Extensive financial modeling in preparing financial analysis and conducting valuation analysis using various methodologies including comparable company, discounted cash flow and other analyses as well as project/structured financing models
- Research to support sourcing, valuation and execution of potential transactions including maintaining databases as required
- Participate/assist/ coordinate due diligence activities as relevant
- General transaction support such as creating and maintaining deal information log and project budget and schedules, clearing CPs and other types of transaction support
- Completing other tasks as assigned
Qualifications and skills required:
- 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, project finance, or management consulting
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; comfortable creating and working with complex financial models and analyzing large data sets (tax equity experience is highly desirable)
- Advanced Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) skills
- Strong project management capabilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to independently formulate analytical approach and propose an investment thesis based on appropriate analyses
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact confidently in high-visibility settings with senior management but also with cross functional team members
