About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Mining Enablement at Yandi you will have responsibility for analysing performance, determining how best to define, prioritise, plan and implement improvements that safely deliver the most value to the business. You will provide specialist advice to the department, execute analysis and benchmarking of Mining Production’s end-to-end performance, and identify and implement improvement initiatives that enable functional excellence.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Monitoring, development and improvement of data management systems (Minestar FMS / Helix / Spotfire / Business Objects / Power BI, Excel)
- Benchmark, monitor and analysis the performance of the production processes and outcomes to enable improvement opportunities
- Monitor weekly and monthly performance to foster compliance to plan
- Work with the execution team to generate practical, safe, sustainable solutions to drive stability and improve overall mining capability
- Support implementation of solutions by facilitating the management of change process, driving accountability for the implementation plan and validating the project has delivered value
About You
The analyst is a key role for us on site and requires you to be a strategic and critical thinker with the ability to identify improvements from data analytics. The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:
- A recognised Tertiary Degree in Mining Engineering, Science, Data Science or similar.
- Strong communication, negotiation, influencing and relationship skills
- Excellent analytical ability
- Strong planning, prioritizing and organization skills
- Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft office (Excel, Power point, Word, etc.).
- Strong track record of project delivery
- Experience in remote area work environment advantageous but not essential
- Experience using Fleet Software (Minestar, surface manager, DAS experience) is advantageous
- Experience using Business Objects or Power BI is advantageous
