About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Chemist, this role is responsible for obtaining and analysing samples from our plant, largely in the Converters and Furnace areas of the smelter, to ensure process control is maintained. This role is on a 2 Days on, 2 Nights on, 4 Days off Roster on a 12 months Fixed Term Contract.  This is a fast-paced role, requiring consistent results.   The role will also involve some adhoc testing in other areas of the plant including Acid Plant, Effluent and Powerhouse areas, Quality Control testing and analysis of sample from our other Nickel West sites to ensure consistency in our processes  

About You

•    This role will require an individual who is self-managed and self-driven as well being able to work in with team members across the plant. •    Previous exposure to laboratory or process control environments will be highly regarded •    Experience in sample preparation and XRF spectrometry are preferred but not essential •    Attention to detail will be essential to success in this role •    This role will include some data-entry and correspondence through Outlook, hence computer literacy is a must
