Analyst Tax Corporate Reporting

The Opportunity – 12-month Fixed Term Position

In this newly developed position of Tax Analyst you will have a key role in the preparation of our Tax Transparency and Payments to Governments report and assist the Principal Tax in preparing global tax reporting for senior management/Board and our external tax reporting disclosures. You will also support Technology projects impacting the Tax function, including digitalisation improvement projects and ERP system improvements.

Reporting to the Principal Tax other key role accountabilities will include:

• Preparation of key data tables included in our Tax Transparency and Payments to Governments report, including liaising with global tax team leads and our external auditors  
• Assistance with the preparation of our monthly global tax balances provided to senior management
• Assistance with Digital Technology improvement projects
• Assistance in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives which mitigate process risk and increase transparency of calculations and outcomes

About You

You will be required to have the following.

• Experience working in a large corporation's accounting or tax department for at least five years, knowledge of mining principles and professional services industry is preferred
• Good understanding of tax and financial accounting concepts
• Strong attention to detail, a desire for quality and efficiency, and effective time management
• Excellent Excel skill & SAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or CA/CPA or equivalent accounting qualification is preferred

Location

This role will be based at our office in the heart of the Perth CBD. We understand and value the benefits flexibility brings and operate a hybrid work model (in the office and from home).
