About the role

As an Analyst, Technology you will be responsible for providing support to the broader Global Technology Procurement Portfolio team across software, infrastructure and IT services in the areas of business intelligence, performance monitoring and service optimisation.

This is a great opportunity for a highly capable analyst to help shape and influence technology category strategies. You will enjoy collaborating with a range of stakeholders and have a passion for process improvement, data manipulation and discovering fact-based insights.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technology and working within a diverse team, you will:

  • Deliver business intelligence through information gathering, data interpretation, data insights and reporting and data modelling
  • Collaborate with the Global Indirects Programme Management Office and Procurement and Data Analytics teams in relation to opportunities for process simplification and refinement
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the procurement team and other stakeholders to drive culture of collaboration, participation and improvement is essential
  • Support tender and category analysis with a view to provide category insight trends and market analysis.

Rio Tinto Procurement (RTP) provides supply chain services that deliver value to the Rio Tinto Group through end-to-end Category Management (strategy, strategic sourcing, and buying of goods and services and strategic customer, supplier and market management). What you will bring

To be successful, you will be tertiary degree qualified (Business/Accounting/Finance or related discipline).  With proven experience gained in a technology procurement work environment, you will be highly competent in the use of a range of analytical and data visualization tools and have advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and Power Bi software.
