Work Location: Various Fortescue sites

Roster: 14D/7R FIFO ex Perth. This position will commence on dayshift only with a view to move to nightshift within 12 months.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience and training as a Chef with one of the largest Iron Ore producers. You will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to ensure you succeed in your trade and will obtain a Certificate III in Commercial Cooking upon completion of training.  

The Opportunity

• 3 years Fixed Term Apprenticeship offered on a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) basis
• Formal on-the-job training at one of Fortescue’s operational sites
• Completion of nationally recognised Certificate III Commercial Cooking
• Opportunity for permanent roles at Apprenticeship completion
• Experience gained with one of Australia’s largest employers

Qualification and Experience:

• Manual Drivers License essential
• Completed Year 10 with satisfactory grades in Maths and Science
• A passion for cooking and willingness to learn and commit to all study and training
• The ability to work in remote locations on a 2 week on, 1 week off FIFO roster
• Strong emphasis on Safety
• Must be team orientated
