Location
This role will be based at our Bauxite Mine in Boddington, where our employees choose to live in the nearby communities which all offer an enviable country lifestyle. Surrounded by magnificent jarrah forests, pristine beaches and world-famous wineries, this is an opportunity too good to miss.
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in and out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of the site.
Accountabilities
- Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures
- Represent South32 and yourself in a professional manner both internally and externally, including involvement with TAFE and secondments.
- Follow all lawful instructions
- Ensure any documentation required to gain your trade qualification is completed accurately, on time and in the appropriate manner or required system
- Progress in your Apprenticeship – This includes progressing with on the job learning and your TAFE off the job learning
- Attend all scheduled mandatory TAFE training
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Holds relevant school leaving certificates and/or pre-apprenticeship in relevant disciplines
- Demonstrated desire and/or experience in the chosen trade (s)
- Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s license
- Satisfactory completion of Year 10 English and Mathematics
