ABOUT THE ROLE
An apprenticeship is a great way to kick start your career. With combined formal learning and on-the-job training, your journey will be supported by a great crew and professional training team. You will continue to grow and develop your skills and experience that will lead you into a skilled tradesperson.
This role is a Four-Year Fixed Term Contract initially on a 4-day roster, DIDO to our Collie Refinery.
- Apprenticeship: Apprentice Fitter
- Location: Worsley Alumina Refinery, Collie
- Qualification Outcome: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
- Commencement: December 2026 - January 2027
Accountabilities
- Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures
- Represent South 32 and yourself in a professional manner both internally and externally, including involvement with TAFE and secondments
- Progress your apprenticeship by demonstrating commitment to on-the-job learning and TAFE off-the-job requirements
- Attend all scheduled mandatory TAFE training
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Live within a one-hour commute of site
- Completion of Year 11 (minimum)
- Completion of Year 12 (highly desirable)
- Participation in, or completion of, a relevant pre-apprenticeship (highly desirable)
- A good academic and attendance record
- Demonstrated desire and/or experience in the chosen field
