Pit N Portal Apprenticeship Opportunities:

As part of Pit N Portal’s growth strategy for 2023 and beyond, we have a number of opportunities for mechanically minded individuals to join our Apprenticeship Program. We are looking for those who are passionate, dedicated and committed to learning a trade, by successfully completing a four-year Apprenticeship based in our Maddington Workshop, with a view to a long-term career in Mining Maintenance.

Apprenticeships commencing in early 2023 are as follows:

• Mobile Plant Technology Apprenticeship (HD Fitter)
• Automotive Technology Apprenticeship (Auto-Electrician)

What we are looking for in you:

• Have a genuine passion and interest in the Apprenticeship you are applying for
• Ideally you will have completed a Pre-Apprenticeship at Tafe
• Hold a valid & unrestricted manual Drivers Licence
• You possess at least a basic knowledge of sound safety practices
• With solid communication and people skills, you are comfortable integrating into a diverse team and building strong relationships with your workmates
• You have the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively and see tasks through to completion
• A good listener, you are comfortable following instructions and using your own initiative
• You are customer-service focused, solutions-orientated and possess a can-do attitude
• You are self-motivated, high-energy, and consistently try your best at delivering quality outcomes
