About the Role

With construction well underway at West Musgrave, you will be part of a once in a generation opportunity to construct one of the largest off-grid renewable powered, lowest cost, lowest emissions, copper-nickel mines. 

The West Musgrave team aim to deliver a project that improves the lives of our stakeholders (workforce, community, government, shareholders, customers, and suppliers). You'll be part of a once in a generation opportunity to construct the Australia's largest off-grid renewable powered mine. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Construction, you will support and increase the project capability required to deliver the West Musgrave project.

The primary purpose of this role is to project manage all aspects of various packages including the management of design consultants, tenders for works, contractor evaluation and recommendations.

You will play a key role in developing and strengthening a culture based on the West Musgrave We Care approach. We Care is a multilayered program through showing We Care at an individual (I), team (we) and community level (us), we aspire to earn a reputation as a place where people thrive. You will also communicate across the whole operations group, with the Traditional Owners, and State representatives such as Mines Inspectors, supporting a transparent and proactive engagement strategy.

Leaving hierarchy at the door, you will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have a relentless focus on collaboration.

About You

  • Project delivery experience working on large multi $b infrastructure projects overseeing a number of packages of work, Bulk Earthworks, Concrete supply, Quarry and Water Infrastructure.
  • Team oriented with the ability to co-design, collaborate and deliver shared value to an internal and external collective.
  • Your extensive industry experience of leading and executing similar projects will be invaluable to helping to develop and deliver a highly successful project at WMP built on a collaborative and strong relationships with the contractor and all other WMP stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in developing all required project documentation.
  • Ability to impact and install a genuine WeCare culture in the safety space.
  • A confident leader that openly gathers and exchanges information and ideas, and develops, coaches, and supports their team.
  • Develops trust, confidence, and capability by ‘walking the talk’ aligned with our culture”.
  • Can quickly identify threats and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate or capitalise on these.

  • Appropriate technical skills, and proficiency with applicable software packages.
