About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Construction, you will lead a team focused on execution of construction strategies, standards/ frameworks and integration and interface management across the project’s lifecycle to ensure delivery in line with the approved statement of requirements. You will oversee the safe and efficient delivery of the construction of the Power package on site, translating strategy into an execution plan.
As a leader on site, you will also have the important responsibility to support and nurture our culture and our “We Care” approach, which underscores our commitment to a positive workplace environment and our dedication to the wellbeing of our employees and the community.
This package includes delivery of a 55MW temporary (diesel genset) power generation facility and permanent (hybrid renewables) power generation facility with 60MW of diesel gensets, 90MW of wind turbines, a 60MW solar farm and 55MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Your role will interface with both internal and external stakeholders including traditional owners, the Ngaanyatjarra people and representatives of the Ngaanyatjarra Council.

Accountabilities
- Oversee the safe and effective delivery of the Power Package on site.
- Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
- Monitor HSE compliance and apply appropriate methodologies/standards to deliver effective construction projects across BHP.
- Define project objectives, manage budget, identify critical activities, monitor the project plan/schedule and drive continuous improvement initiatives and resource optimisation.
- Utilise extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects to drive successful outcomes.
- Act as an inspirational leader, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment among project teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contracting partners to enhance project coordination and communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and implement effective solutions.
About You
- Proven track record in successfully managing large-scale construction projects within the resources and infrastructure sectors.
- Extensive experience in construction management, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices.
- Experience in working with engineering and design teams.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project goals.
- Exceptional relationship-building capabilities to effectively collaborate with contracting partners and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the construction industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate efficient project coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and resources effectively.
- Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Solid understanding of completions systems and hand over processes.
- A safety leader committed to championing a safety culture and setting the standards for best practices in safety management across the organization.
