About the Role
We are seeking a forward thinking and talented individual to take on the key role of Area Lead Manager Commissioning in Western Australia Asset Project (WAAP). This is an exciting opportunity for a high performing professional to work with a range of senior stakeholders where your contribution will have significant impact on the business. Reporting to the WA Asset Project (WAAP) Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for leading a highly skilled and diverse team leading commissioning planning and execution on WAAP projects in the Port and Rail portfolio. your key accountabilities include:
- Ensure an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental and community responsibility is maintained through Commissioning activities.
- Ensure the commissioning strategies on Port and Rail projects are aligned with WAAP.
- Collaborate closely with key project and operational stakeholders to ensure the successful start-up and ramp up of projects.
- Provide leadership to the Port and Rail commissioning team focussed on the preparation and implementation of the commissioning strategy and execution plan.
- Provide technical expertise to manage commissioning in line with approved project plans.
- Respectfully and professionally, influence stakeholders to drive optimised outcomes including Operational, Maintenance, Engineering and Technology teams.
- Work closely with the other project streams including Development, Delivery, Operational Readiness, Engineering and Quality to ensure portfolio synergies can be capitalised and lessons learnt leveraged.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Significant previous experience in Commissioning, Project Management or site operations.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a trade qualification.
- Passion for guiding, developing and influencing individual team members through mentoring and coaching.
- You will bring strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated ability to deliver safe and sustainable outcomes, ensuring project success.
Location and Roster
You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues. You will be working on Monday-Friday roster. Flexible work is also offered. Occasional site travel to support projects will be required.
