About the opportunity 

The purpose of this role is to ensure the Emeco rental fleet complies with the relevant national, state and territory laws, regulations and recognised standards associated with the specification, delivery and maintenance of heavy earth moving equipment.

The primary focus of this role is to coordinate, review and update existing machine records and files, policies, and procedures. Develop and maintain the standard Emeco Plant Safety File in AMT. Manage contractual obligations specifically relating to the compliance of NSW MDG-41, QLD Recognised Standard 23 and WA DMIRS.  

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the standard Emeco Plant Safety File (PSF) in AMT.
  • Liaise with approved vendors to supply reports and services compliant to Emeco for:
    • Rim and Tyre fitment and certification reports
    • Fire risk assessments and services
    • Accumulator pressure vessel inspection reports and registration certificates
    • Fluid power compliance, hydraulic hose test reports
  • Liaise with the workshop team to ensure the correct documentation is supplied to meet site delivery timeframes
  • Collect and audit of all functional test, service and maintenance sheet records and condition reports supplied by the workshop before publication to the customer.
  • Review site-specific compliance requirements and liaise with Emeco asset managers, maintenance managers, and statutory engineers as required
  • Develop a comprehensive hydraulic hose management plan in accordance with MGD-41 and RS-23
  • Manage machine change management reports
  • Work with approved suppliers to complete Functional Safety Report-FMEA-Design Risk Assessment and SIL 2 Compliance Validation

Required skills and experience

  • Minimun 5 years experience working in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering / related discipline 
  • Possess excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Energetic and has a "can do" attitude.
  • Concern for high standards of consistency and integrity in procurement practices.
