About the Role
We are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals with experience in the maintenance, engineering or resource industries, who are interested in upcoming opportunities within the Asset Management and Engineering (AME) team. As Part of AME, you will support the delivery of global Asset Management and Engineering core deliverables in one of the following sub-teams;
- Process and Systems - Ensure that all the processes supporting maintenance activities are fit for purpose and enable ease of work whilst maintaining necessary compliance.
- Performance Management - Provide global equipment performance insights to solve complex problems and drive improvement through analytical capability.
- Asset Planning & Standards - Responsible for modelling and governance of Life Cycle Cost, definition of equipment minimum specification to influence standardisation as well as governance of MECoE documentation and development of standards.
- Engineering Governance & Technical Stewardship - Monitor BHP and the broader industry to identify, document, and facilitate deployment of recognised and generally accepted good engineering practice for asset integrity risk management.
- Engineering Information Management (EIM) - Transform and optimise how we create, use and maintain engineering information across BHP. This is bringing significant safety, cost and productivity benefits for all customers.
- Process Safety -Strengthening process safety management performance by aligning BHP's approach with global process safety standards through critical procedural and engineering controls that manage loss of containment of hazardous substances risk.
- Engineering Systems and Standards - Develop, standardise and maintain the engineering operating model in BHP. Ensure that processes supporting Engineering Technical Support and Management of Change process activities are fit for purpose and enable ease of work whilst maintaining necessary compliance.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Have a proven track record of a strong safety participation.

- Ability to quickly build effective working rapport with stakeholders to influence decision making, negotiate positive outcomes and ensure business and customer expectations are achieved.
- You will be required to interface with other Functions across the business, Operational leadership teams and with the other sub-functions within the Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence. It is therefore essential that you can effectively communicate, engage and influence at all levels, foster a collaborative environment and are able to travel.
- Ability to work comfortably with ambiguity, create clarity and reach high quality decisions and manage change through influence.
- Have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to apply critical thinking, a curious mind, and creative problem-solving skills to generate business value.
- Deep understanding of the operating model and interaction between the processes, systems and people of Projects, Engineering and Operations.
- Have a tertiary qualification in Engineering or an aligned discipline.
- Be adaptive to change and demonstrate the ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple deliverables across stakeholders.
- You will have a focus on continuous improvement and be passionate about delivering exceptional results.
- Have demonstrated experience in SAP Work Management business processes will be highly regarded.
- This role can be base in our Australia corporate offices in Brisbane, Adelaide, or Perth. You will be working on Monday-Friday roster. Flexible work is also offered.
