About the Role
As anAsset Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the deployment of the Generic Reference Library (GRL) which contains baseline equipment maintenance strategies for common use across BHP. Responsibilities include deployment of these common strategies in Asset Performance Management (APM) and SAP.
This role is pivotal in driving data standardisation across BHP. You will be the subject matter expert and go to person for advice on data standardisation and gap analysis resulting from the improved strategies, including bulk changes required to related Work Management Technical Objects in SAP.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Passion for data driven insights and gap analysis.
- Energised by leading change and engaging with many different stakeholders to challenge the status quo.
- Previous experience with equipment strategy development and implementation, including FMEA/FMECA and RCM methodologies.
- Experience with development and deployment of data standards.
- Experience with standardised failure modes across similar/same equipment types in strategy management systems.
- Proven experience with Management of Change (MOC) process related to bulk changes in the Work Management Master Data.
- Solid presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong knowledge of Maintenance Work Management processes.
- Self-motivated.
While not mandatory, but good to have:
- Familiarity with Asset Performance Management concepts.
- A good understanding of international standards for Maintenance and Asset Management, including but not limited to:
- ISO I4224
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant reliability engineering experience.
- Industry experience (Mining, Oil and Gas, Infrastructure).
- Experience with GE’s APM software tool or any other strategy management tool is desirable.
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge is desirable.
- Working knowledge of with 1SAP Master Data Standards – particularly Reference Functional Locations and Catalogue Profiles – to enable quality failure data inputs.

We have flexibility for this role to be based at our corporate offices in Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide.
