About the MECoE
BHP's Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE) are the coming together of a dedicated, innovative team focused on identifying, achieving, and maintaining the highest standards in maintenance for BHP globally. About the Role
As a Specialist Asset Management Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, and management of Asset Management tools and applications utilised in BHP such as Asset Performance Management (APM) and SAP. You will be the subject matter expert and the go to person to understand the requirements from MECOE and BHP workforce, process the requirements with an enterprise view, liaise with application/tool vendors and deliver a quality outcome for MECOE and BHP.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Passionate about data driven insights and helping to contribute to a data centric culture.
- Energised by leading change and engaging with many different stakeholders to challenge the status quo.
- Passionate about building tools (dashboards, scheduled python scripts, dataloaders) that can be deployed at scale across the business to optimize the way in which users engage with the various Asset Performance Management related systems (APM, SAP, etc).
- Advanced Python/Visual Basic/SQL programming skills.
- An ability to identify business requirements and address stakeholder issues.
- Solid presentation, communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated.
While not mandatory, but good to have:
- Familiarity with Asset Performance Management concepts.
- Industry experience (Mining, Oil and Gas, Infrastructure).
- Bachelor’s degree in data science/engineering.
- Experience utilizing REST APIs.
- Familiarity with SAP, APM and SnowFlake.
- Familiarity with utilizing code collaboration and version control tools (Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket).
- Adept at developing visualizations (dashboards) that effectively drive workflow processes.
- Proven experience experimenting with and understanding data models.
Location and Roster
This role will be base in our Brisbane corporate office and working on Monday-Friday roster.
