About the role

As Asset Manager, you will establish and lead the Monitoring and Maintenance team through the transition from Closure execution and into Monitoring and Maintenance. Your role will work across internal and external stakeholders, including Traditional Owners and the Western Australian government and regulatory landscape, to ensure conformance to and delivery of the triennial Mine Closure Plan.
Reporting to the General Manager, Argyle Closure you will:
- Lead engagement with the Regulatory agencies associated with the Mine Closure Plan
- Deliver the Monitoring and Maintenance phase final plan, budget and organisational design
- Lead the transition to the Monitoring and Maintenance phase through development and delivery of the demobilisation strategy, transition plan and care, custody and control handover
- Recruit, establish and lead the Monitoring and Maintenance team and associated contractors
- Award and manage the contracting strategy for Monitoring and Maintenance
- Deliver the Argyle Monitoring and Maintenance phase Asset owner plan
- Ensure tenure strategy, approvals register and legal obligations are delivered and the pathway to relinquishment is on track
- Lead the program management of Argyle Closure via the Mine Closure Plan, strategic plan, 90-day plans, annual planning cycle and internal governance structures

- Contractor management experience
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and advice in the identification and mitigation of health and safety risks across multiple projects
- Ability to constructively influence and to appropriately challenge viewpoints or decisions which do not align with company values or community expectations
- Demonstration of strategic planning and implementation skills, including participatory engagement, communications, delivery and monitoring of outcomes
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and relevant technical experience
- Previous experience in the resources industry, operational roles, stakeholder engagement, study management, procurement or closure will be highly regarded
- Tertiary Qualifications in a related discipline (advantageous, not mandatory)

Where you’ll be working
You will be Perth based with opportunity to work flexibly from home combined with time in our Wesley office, with ad hoc travel to the Argyle mine site in Kununurra, East Kimberly, Western Australia. The team actively encourages and supports flexible work. This includes workdays, hours, and location, in addition to flexible work schedules.
