Auto Electrician

We are currently seeking applications from Auto Electricians for our Prominent Hill and Carrapateena Operations in South Australia.

With over 5,500 employees, the Byrnecut Group is a full-service underground mining contractor, providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia and Internationally. We operate a multi-million dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions.

Duties 

• Install, maintain, identify faults and repair electrical wiring and computer based equipment in motor vehicles and related equipment such as mining equipment
• Ensure maintenance targets are achieved by practicing preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair
• Service, identify and repair faults on electronically controlled systems
• Install electrical equipment such as gauges, lighting, alternators and starter motors
• Install accessories such as radios, heating and demisting equipment, air conditioners and driving lights

Requirements

• Relevant trade qualification/s
• Mining experience (underground) is preferred but not essential
• Current driver’s license
• National police clearance
• Good communication skills and a "can-do" attitude
• Ability to pass a full medical
