Yarrabee Coal Company a wholly owned subsidiary of Yancoal Australia, based in Blackwater Queensland, 2 hours drive west of Rockhampton. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Auto Electrician to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role will require you to:

• Be involved with fault finding & troubleshooting systems across all fleets
• Maintain Air Conditioning systems on all mobile equipment
• Focus on reliability of equipment including project work to improve the auto-electrical performance of the various fleets in operation
• Carrying out scheduled and breakdown maintenance to a variety of our mobile heavy plant Conducting preventive maintenance inspections.
• Maintaining high level of housekeeping in your work area
• Identifying opportunities for improvement in the equipment or work procedures Scoping and creating SAP notifications for preventative work

Roster: 7:7 rotating day/night,12hr shifts.

About You

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience;

• Trade Certificate in Automotive Electrical Technology
• Current Manual C Class Drivers Licence
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a mine site environment.
• Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Thorough understanding of individual responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations
• Previous experience with automotive air conditioning
