The Role:

A vacancy currently exists for a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Light Vehicles Supervisor.

In this position you will use your trade experience to perform maintenance, including planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and servicing . This is a residential role in Mount Isa and offers an even time 7:7 dayshift roster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Demonstrate and promote a high level of safety commitment
• Work thoroughly and consistently when maintaining site vehicles and equipment
• Work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary trade team
• Partake in servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance change outs, along with field work
• Perform works on a range of automated mobile mining equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement projects

The successful candidate w ill have the following skillset and attributes:

• Trade qualification – Auto Electrical
• Automotive air conditioning licence
• Capability in reading and interpreting auto electrical schematics
• A minimum of 2 years industry experience working as a qualified tradesperson is preferred
• Ability to conduct fault finding on electrical systems and machines
• Efficiency with OEM diagnostics tooling (Toyota scan tool would be desirable)
• Current Australian manual driver’s license
